Dr. Randy Dymond, PE serves as LDT’s Chief Executive Officer. Dymond holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Penn State, as well as a B.S. in Chemistry from Bucknell. For the past 18+ years, Dymond has been an Associate Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in land development design, hydrology, water resources, GIS, computer applications and other traditional CEE focus areas. Previously, Dymond served as the Director of Research and Development for a major civil engineering software developer, during which time he was responsible for all software product design and testing, engineering support and training for clients, and documentation.
Dr. Clayton Hodges, PE serves as LDT’s Chief Technology Officer. Hodges holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, and is an Assistant Research Professor in the Via Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. Previously, Hodges served as Vice President of a land development and survey firm for over 17 years. Hodges’ background includes extensive consulting experience in all phases of site development, with a specific emphasis on hydrologic analysis and stormwater management. Hodges is also a skilled programmer with over 20 years of experience developing hydraulic and hydrologic software.
Mr. Kevin Young, PE serves as LDT’s Director of Training and Support. Young holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech, and is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Via Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. Young’s background includes over 10 years of consulting experience in all phases of site development, with a specific emphasis on hydrology and stormwater management. Young has also been heavily involved in research efforts to improve the selection of stormwater management BMPs through the use of optimization algorithms.
